If you have a PowerMac, install the version that matches the type of PPC Chip in your machine (601, 603, or 604). The Power Mac versions will run on any PowerMac, but they are each optimized for a specific chip. If you have a non-PowerMac without an FPU, install the 68k version. If you have a non-PowerMac with an FPU, install the FPU version. This will speed up ExpressVR by at least 2 times. It is recommended that you give Netscape at least 10 MB of memory. Release Information: ------------------ Early July: Release Four came out and had these improvements: *Support for RAVE hardware acceleration. *WWWInlines. *WWWAnchors. *Faster Renderer. *Better memory management. *Better Face Clipping. *Full Lighting support. *A fully working Nav Bar. *Near Full Material and Normal Support. *Camera positions & initial camera placement. Mid June: *Release Three came out and had mouse navigation, Face Sets, DEF/USE support, and was over all a better plug-in. This was because the 3D engine was so closely tied to VRML itself. Other Software -------------- I have also writen NeoIcon. It's the premier icon editor for the Mac. It can be found on any info-mac mirror, AOL, Compuserve, and at web address: http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~brada/neoicon.html The Person Behind The Software ----------------------------- If you have any comments you can e-mail me at maxmac@aol.com You can always find the newest version of ExpressVR at: http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~brada/VRML/ExpressVR.html Rarely the server goes down so try back later if you can't reach the page. -Brad Anderson Downloads of previous versions: 449 ----------------------------------------------------------- Internet Connection Forum Libraries.
